How to Play Preference Multiplayer: Gain Whists and Close the Bullet

The goal is to gain the maximum number of whists and close the bullet. A game ends when all players have received an agreed number of bullet points. At the start, each player chooses a bullet size ranging from 5 to 30 scores.

Contract scores go into the bullet. Tricks that are missed result in penalty points recorded in the mountain. When a player plays whist and takes tricks, they receive a predetermined number of scores in the whists column.

Types of Games (Contracts)

• Trick-taking: the head player appoints a minimum number of tricks that must be taken, either with a trump card or without one
• Miser: the player must not take any trick
• Passes: every player tries to take the minimum number of tricks

How to Play Cards in Tricks

On each turn, every player must lay a card of the same suit as the leading card. If a player does not hold a card of that suit, they must lay a trump card. When neither condition applies, a player may lay any card.
