Codex: The Last Summoner
About Codex: The Last Summoner — Dark Fantasy Roguelite Action RPG
Codex: The Last Summoner casts you as a dark summoner who faces monsters, demons, and other creatures of evil using powerful runes and ancient spells. Rather than striking enemies directly, your hero builds an army of dark servants through rune combinations, blending roguelite, action RPG, and dark fantasy into a single experience.
Several scenes show a dark, atmospheric arena where summoned allies engage waves of enemies alongside the player. The world grows more dangerous the longer each run continues, pushing you to balance aggression with preparation.
How to Play Codex: The Last Summoner — Survive, Summon, and Upgrade
Each run asks you to survive incoming enemy waves, collect resources dropped by monsters, and return to the temple before the escalating threat overwhelms you. Back at the temple, unlock new servants and upgrade your sanctuary to enter the next run better prepared.
Summoning is the heart of the game. Enter rune combinations to call dark servants to your side; each ally fights independently, attacks enemies, and brings unique spells that strengthen your growing army. All unlocked combinations are viewable in the Codex, found in the upper-right corner of the screen.
The source advice is direct: do not rush straight to the boss. Build your army, improve your abilities, and prepare for the final battle. Defeat the ultimate evil by using powerful summons and the correct rune combinations.
