About Evolution 2D Lake: Single-Celled Organism Evolution Simulator

Evolution 2D Lake drops you into a procedurally generated microscopic world as a single-celled organism, where survival and creativity drive every decision. The game blends an endless sandbox with genuine danger, asking whether you have what it takes to become an absolute dominant. Several scenes show small organisms with multiple white eyes and hair-like cilia swimming across colored gradient backgrounds. One scene features floating translucent spheres and irregular white organic shapes drifting through the environment.

How to Play Evolution 2D Lake: Evolve, Collect, and Conquer

The main goal is to evolve. Absorb resources directly during gameplay — Phosphorus, Sulfur, Calcium, Salt, and Iron — and use them to create new parts before attaching them in the editor. The minimap shows which resources are located in which habitat areas and also displays the types of creatures living in each zone. Grow in size and push into new levels to conquer the microscopic world.

Building in the Editor

The intuitive editor lets you construct millions of unique organisms by attaching various parts to your cell. Options range from spikes and jaws to photosynthetic pigments and jet accelerators. Every part affects the characteristics of the cell and can change the gameplay. Before a part can be used in the game, it must first be created, which requires resources. Editor control from the gamepad and keyboard is not supported yet.
