Words and Mahjong
About Words and Mahjong
Words and Mahjong is an updated take on Mahjong that blends the principles of word games with the rules of oriental Solitaire. The board is covered with overlapping tiles, and the goal is to find pairs that together form a complete word, then remove them until the board is clear. A green leaf-like pattern serves as the background for the tile layouts in several scenes. The pace is deliberately unhurried — the game describes its rhythm as slow like oriental meditation, with no time limits of any kind. Progress saves automatically, so closing the browser and returning the next day picks up exactly where things left off. Hints are available whenever a difficulty level feels too steep.
How to Play Words and Mahjong
Each turn, the player selects two open tiles that together form a valid word. A tile counts as open when it has no adjacent tiles above, to the left, or to the right of it. The word list consists of nouns in singular or plural forms. When a formed word is valid, that pair of tiles is removed from the board. The final goal is to remove every tile and clear the board completely. Progress through the levels at your own pace — the game imposes no time pressure of any kind.
