ChitaGO drops players into the streets of Chita in 2007, following a main character who returns home to find he is no longer welcome there. An old classmate steps in to help, and together the two set out to find success — though whether luck will be on their side remains an open question. One scene shows tall grey and white apartment blocks with blue-tinted windows rising behind a stone wall. Another captures a long grey concrete fence made of repeating diamond-patterned panels running alongside a dirt road.

The game world is built around the real city of Chita in the Trans-Baikal Territory, with streets, houses, and trees recreated with close attention to accuracy. Beyond the story mode, a free mode lets players create their own character and roam an open world of approximately 10 square kilometers.

How to Play ChitaGO

ChitaGO offers two distinct modes. Story mode follows the main character and his old friend through the events set in 2007 Chita. Free mode lets players build their own character and explore the roughly 10-square-kilometer open world at their own pace. Weapons are selected with the 1, 2, and 3 keys — key 1 defaults to bare hands when no weapon is present. The inventory can be opened and closed with I, and health-restoring beverages stored there can be consumed with H. The world map is accessible via M, and camera perspective switches between first and third person with C.
