Epic Solitaire «Athena» is a single-player card game built around the familiar goal of moving all cards onto four foundation piles. The deck is designed so each suit carries its own distinct style, and face cards show portraits of men and women wearing crowns and jewelry rendered in a painterly style. Several scenes show a large illustration of a smiling jester in a diamond-patterned hat and face paint appearing over the card layout. Card backs display a diagonal striped pattern in red or blue with thin white border lines.
The game offers a range of personal touches before you sit down to play: background color can be set to dark, green, or blue; card shirt color comes in red, green, or blue; and the deal can be set to flip one, two, or three cards at a time. Finishing a round rewards a view of one of many joker images. Retakes are unlimited, and any move can be cancelled.
How to Play Epic Solitaire «Athena»: Place All Cards onto Four Bases
The objective is to place every card onto the four base piles. On the bases, cards build up by suit in ascending order, starting from the Ace. On the playing field, cards stack in descending order with colors alternating. An empty column accepts a king or any group of cards that begins with a king. The top card from the discard pile can be moved either to the playing field or directly to a base. Clicking a card moves it automatically to a valid position when one is available. An optional automatic completion feature can finish the game once the position is resolved, and moves can be undone at any point.
